There is a shortage of residency and fellowship programs in Texas. An estimated 45% of medical school graduates take out-of-state residencies—and ultimately spend their careers in other cities. Competitive and prestigious training programs at Houston Methodist ensure a future of access to exceptional patient care. Philanthropy can play a critical role in establishing residencies, fellowships and other training opportunities.
Residency/Fellowship
Houston Methodist recognizes the value of attracting and supporting emergent health care professionals. Through our residency and fellowship programs, we fund the education and training of recent health science graduates holding advanced degrees. These scholars gain valuable experience, receive guidance from seasoned mentors and explore opportunities to extend specialized work in their chosen practice.
